All of the pupils' food was homemade and much enjoyed and appreciated by their friends and staff. Dishes included samosas, Turkish sweet and savoury pastries, stuffed vegetables, pasta and fried plantain. Mrs Taylor brought traditional English afternoon cakes in.
Thank you to the parents and pupils who prepared the food. We really did appreciate it. Not only did we all enjoy the food but it was a great time of sampling and celebrating other cultures of pupils in our school.

School Life

On Thursday 8th July, six Year 7 pupils for whom English is another language brought some food from their culture to share with their chosen friends, Mr Brigden, Ms Reed and Mr Sexton. Turkish, Pakistani and Ghanaian food was brought in by Erol Adakan, Derya Gul, Asim Nizamoglu, Ozan Ulasan, Laiba Sajid and Rasheed Osman.
Pupils explained what the food was made from and how it was cooked. Derya and Laiba had helped their mothers to prepare the food. Rasheed's mother's fried plantain was probably the biggest hit with the food lovers. Mr Brigden only wished Laiba had made more samosas.
