On Wednesday 7th July, the MFL department organised a competition as part of the Excellence Challenge week.

Language teachers selected 20 of our most able year 7 linguists to take part in this competition. Pupils had 30 minutes to answer 55 challenging questions about French language and culture, using the language covered in their French lessons and their general knowledge, as well as a variety of language developed throughout the year.

Congratulations to Luke Roberts (winner) and Laureece Simmons (runner-up) who will be awarded a medal and a prize in the next Year 7 assembly. All the other participants will also receive an attendance certificate and a small gift.

We are hoping to enter more pupils for La Grande Competition in 2011. In the meantime, remember to visit:
