2008/09 Future Chef competition

Jack Haspineall 8P2 and Lewis Wilson 9G2 were successful in getting through to the local finals of the 2008/09 Future Chef competition. They attended The Petchey Academy on Friday 14^th November where they had to cook in front of a panel of Judges and a professional Italian chef.

Congratulations go to Jack who came 2^nd and will now go forward to stage 3 of the regional finals to be held in January. Jack cooked his signature dish of:

"Fresh Salmon with lemon, chilli and Capers served on a bed of roasted root vegetables and steamed sugar snap peas.

Followed by sweet mince puffs with golden syrup and crème fraiche"

Jack has now been assigned a professional chef mentor and has won a specially embroidered chef's jacket. Well done on this fantastic achievement.
